And Let It Begin...

Today band camp officially starts. I have band camp Monday through Friday 1:00pm to 8:00pm. We have an hour for dinner, thankfully. And we're not outside for the whole thing, which makes it better.

I want to be in color guard in college, so I know this is preparing me for band camp in college. I'm excited for our first home game, because we are changing so many things this year. People will be amazed at how much better we are this year. The best part about band camp this year is we're having judges from WGI (Winter Guard International) come up and help us make our half-time show better. Everything we're doing from the sets, to the music is completely original, which means no other band will perform this half-time show! Cool! :D

Well, I felt like I should write this because I know I won't have time to write during this week. I'll be extremely tired, but it'll be worth it in the end. So tata for now! :)

7-16-2012

I decided to post this now, because this week shall be very busy and I won't have time to post this later....

Tomorrow color guard practice starts up again and I'm extremely excited! We had the whole last week off due to some law in Indiana, and even though it was relaxing, I missed guard. Wednesday guard gets to go back to Zumba classes, which are really fun! :) It gets me energized, and I wish we could go to Zumba classes everyday.

Then Friday, I'm having a huge campout with a group of friends. I can't wait! I loving camping, and I'm ready to roast some marshmellows. I like mine burnt, and some of my friends call me crazy for that but I don't care. I love burnt marshmellows.

Sunday my friend is having a birthday party at a water park (I forgot the name) and I'm super pumped for that! Water parks are a BLAST, even though I hate water slides. I hate deep water, and heights and most of the water slides are pretty high up in the air. I'm more of a wave-pool, lazy river type of girl when it comes to water parks. Plus, I am definitely going to buy some dip-n-dots for sure! I love, love, love dip-n-dots and it's been awhile since I had some.

All in all, this week is sure to be a blast and I'm going to love every second of it :D

I'm Back!(:

Well, it's been awhile since I've been on here. Life as a high school student can get crazy busy. So, I'm just going to recap how my year has been going so far.

This year I made parade captain of the color guard team along with Katie!(: It's been really fun as a captain. True, it is more responsibility but that's totally fine with me. I think that the perfect captain would be helpful, nice and someone who is dedicated. I'm no where near perfect, but that's how I act as a captain. ^.....

December of 2011 I finally got my drivers permit! (YAY!) It makes me feel more 16 now that I can drive behind the wheel. I can actually get my license any day now if I want to. But just because I can get my license doesn't mean I can act all goofy behind the wheel. I reallllly can't stand it when people are distracted while they're driving. I could go on and on and on about that topic, but I won't. I'll save that for another post later.

Along with being the color guard captain, the NPHS marching band got to perform at the Indy 500 this year!!!!!!!!!! :D It was my second time performing there, and I feel really, truly blessed. It was miserably hot, but I am so thankful for having the opportunity to perform twice there.

Speaking of marching band, we got a new band director this year. I was really sad when we found out that Mr. Belsaas was leaving. Honestly, I cried a lot! I'm even getting teary eyed just thinking about it. I know it might seem strange for a teenager to cry about a teacher retiring, but he's been my teacher since 6th grade. I never imagined being a junior or senior in high school band without him. He was like a second father to us kids because of the many things he would do for us. He checked our grades and made sure we were keeping up with our schoolwork. He would laugh and make funny jokes with us, and he would listen if we needed someone to talk to. He really was the best teacher I had by far. But I like our new band director this year. She just got out of college at IU, and performed at the Super Bowl with Madonna. Talk about amazing!

Soooooo, that's all I have for now. :)

12/28/2011

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been posting much, my computer broke. But don't worry! I finally got it fixed and back today! :) New Years Eve is coming close, and what's your plans to celebrate the new year? Mine? Hanging with friends! And, of course, I am staying up past midnight. Duhh! There's nothing better than hanging out and having fun with your friends to ring in the new year! Are you excited for 2012? I AM!!! Normally, I don't really care (sad, I know, but HEY I'm a teenager. Don't judge!) but for some reason 2012 is making me excited! Something great is going to happen! I just have a feeling. And, me? I think it's bullpoopie how people say the world is going to end in 2012. (DON'T start anything, or say anything. We're all entitled to our own opinions, and this is my opinion. Thanks!) You know that feeling you get, and no matter what you can't get rid of it because it's something amazing? That's the feeling I get when I think about 2012. 2012 is going to be a BLAST! :)

12/21/2011

Well, today was a really good day!(:

Today was the last day of school for me for the year of 2011! Christmas break baby!!! I had finals, but mine were easy! Thank goodness! For theatre class we had to perform a monologue, and I did one from the House of Night series. I am proud to say I did really well actually! Which leads me to my next point.....

Today I found out that my absolute favorite book series of ALL TIME, House of Night (HON) is being turned into a movie! Yay!!!!! And I so want to audition for Zoey. Why? Because it would mean a lot to me. Zoey is almost exactly like me, and this book has really good morals in it. I literally could go on and on why I love Zoey so much. She follows her heart, her gut, her soul. She knows what's right and wrong. She does what she thinks is best for everyone, not herself. She puts her friends, which are like her family, first before herself. She's brave, smart, and completely someone to look up to. I know I sound like I'm talking about a real person and not some character in a book, but she WAY much more than that to me. I kinda, sorta look up to her in a way. This book is really, really good. Read it if you haven't yet. Marked is the first book in the series....WARNING: You will get hooked. I promise you that!
